A leading accountancy and advisory firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its established tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of individuals, business owners and high-net-worth clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients while supporting the delivery of high-quality tax advice and ensuring compliance obligations are met.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of private clients and acting as a key point of contact.
- Delivering a mixture of personal tax compliance and advisory work.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and wider tax risks for clients.
- Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.
- Managing workflow and ensuring all HMRC deadlines are met.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance and support.
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider tax team on complex client matters.
- Monitoring portfolio performance, productivity and profitability.
What you'll need to succeed:
- To be successful in this role, you will be CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified with previous experience working within private client or personal tax.
- Experience managing a portfolio of private client tax matters.
- Strong technical personal tax knowledge.
- Exposure to both compliance and advisory work.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to research and interpret complex areas of tax legislation.
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
- A commercial and client-focused approach.
