Your new role

As a Personal Tax Senior, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality personal tax compliance service while supporting managers and partners on advisory projects. You will work with a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are metand opportunities to add value are identified.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors and business owners
• Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns
• Managing tax compliance deadlines and ensuring all client work is delivered accurately and efficiently
• Assisting with tax planning projects including capital gains tax, inheritance tax and remuneration planning
• Acting as a keypoint of contact for clients, responding to tax queries and providing excellent client service
• Handling HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory support to clients
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the tax team
• Working closely with Partners and colleagues across the wider business to provide a holistic service to clients

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• ATT qualified, CTA part-qualified or qualified, or qualified by experience
• Previous experience working within a personal tax role in an accountancy practice environment
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax compliance
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
• The ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
• A proactive and client-focused approach
• Experience supporting junior team members would be advantageous
• A genuine desire to continue developing your technical expertise and career within tax
