A leading professional services firm is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio ranging from entrepreneurial and privately owned businesses through to large corporate groups, whilst developing your technical and commercial expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working as part of an established tax team, you will support the delivery of both compliance and advisory services to a broad range of clients across multiple sectors.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service.
- Supporting the delivery of tax advisory projects and providing practical solutions to clients.
- Managing client engagements, including planning, billing and monitoring profitability.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Reviewing work and supporting the development of junior team members.
- Working closely with senior managers, directors and partners on a range of complex assignments.
- Ensuring compliance with internal quality and risk management procedures.
What you'll need to succeed:
- To be successful in this role, you will be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, or possess equivalent experience.
- Experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients.
- Strong technical corporate tax knowledge.
- Experience delivering complex tax projects.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues.
- A proactive approach with strong commercial awareness.
