An exciting opportunity to join a market-leading media business based in London. You will be joining at a juncture of change, with M&A, system improvements, recruitment plans and new business wins on the horizon. This would suit someone used to a matrix structure but more than happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved in day-to-day accounting and operations.

Reporting to the divisional CFO, you will be:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of accountants across the UK, EMEA and further afield.
  • Overseeing FP&A, accounting/control, revenue and transactional finance.
  • Supporting across business planning, strategy and financial forecasting.
  • Overseeing the audit, technical accounting and statutory reporting of the group.
  • Managing the consolidated accounting for the group and providing insight and commentary to the executives.
  • Leading through the transition of a change in ownership structure/potential exit.
  • Recruiting and developing a best-in-class finance team.
  • Ad hoc duties.

As a qualified accountant with several years' experience operating as an FD/CFO, you will be happy overseeing the three pillars of accounting and, ideally, have exposure to a US business, reporting under US GAAP. You will be proficient on a range of systems, but most importantly SAP and SAP BFC. As a people manager, you will have a track record of recruiting, inspiring and progressing junior staff as well as highly qualified accountants.

You will be paid between £150,000 and £200,000 for this role depending on your experience. You will also benefit from a company-wide pension, private healthcare, hybrid working and a competitive bonus incentive. However, most importantly, this role can signpost you towards a CFO position, taking on the full ownership of a finance team in a complex structure.
