Job Description Senior Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Heywood, Greater Manchester Contract: Minimum 6-Month Contract with Opportunity to Become Permanent Full-Time, 5 Days On-site The Opportunity: Our client, a leading global logistics organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team based in Heywood. This role will initially be offered on a minimum 6-month contract basis, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right individual. Manage the full end-to-end Accounts Payable process across a high-volume, multi-entity environment. Oversee supplier invoice processing, coding, matching and payment runs. Support month-end and year-end close activities relating to Accounts Payable. Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and audit requirements. Identify process improvements and support finance transformation initiatives. Assist in the implementation and optimisation of AP automation tools and system enhancements. Produce reporting and analysis relating to AP performance, aged creditors and payment cycles. About YouWe are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who has operated within large, corporate environments and can confidently manage a complex AP function Requirements Significant experience within a Senior Accounts Payable position. Expert knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes. Experience handling high volumes of supplier accounts and complex supplier queries. Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills. Experience working with multiple finance systems and ERP platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Exposure to finance transformation projects.
