I am working with a fast-growing insurance business in London looking for a Head of FP&A to join the team in London. Reporting to the CEO, this is a broad role taking ownership of the FP&A process.

This is a broad and varied role with key responsibilities including:

  • Develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) to support decision-making across all sites and head office.
  • Build strong financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Prepare monthly variance reports and management summaries, providing accurate and actionable insights.
  • Improve reporting tools, including dashboards and in-month metrics, to drive data-led decision-making.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of economic changes on financial performance.
  • Partner with operational leaders to support ongoing financial planning, identify risks and opportunities, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist in preparing materials for board and lender meetings.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Qualified accountant with proven experience in similar roles.
  • Insurance carrier experience essential with MGA/Intermediary experience desirable.
  • Extensive experience of financial analysis and management reporting within a complex, detail-focused environment.
  • Business partnering skill set.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • High level of Excel ability to include financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
