Your new company

A well-regarded hospitality business is looking to hire a Dutch-speaking Financial Controller to take day-to-day financial ownership of their growing Netherlands operations. This will be a varied role of financial/management reporting, business partnering, collaboration with FP&A function, and the potential for line management in the near future. They would consider someone without the language skills if you have experience managing Dutch entities, or strong multi-site hospitality experience.

Your new role

As the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ownership of the financial operations of the Netherlands entities, including the financial reporting, accounting and taxes with support of local teams
  • Producing management packs with insightful commentary
  • Finance business partnering with various finance & non-finance teams such as Operations & HR
  • Working closely with the FP&A team to support with budgeting, forecasting & long-term planning
  • Responsible for VAT
  • Working closely with external accountants during year-end
  • Key point of contact for the external auditors

What you'll need to succeed

You'll ideally be a fluent Dutch speaker. However, they would also still consider those without the language skills - particularly if you have experience managing Dutch entities, or multi-site hospitality experience. You'll be motivated to take full ownership of the entities and be the go-to finance person for the Netherlands operations. You'll be eager to develop further in the business as they would ideally like for this role to expand into management in the near future.
