Your new company
I\’m partnering with a prestigious international luxury retailer looking for a Finance Manager to lead their London finance function. This is a pivotal No role on-site, reporting directly to the European parent company. You\’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, managing a team of three, driving financial planning and analysis, managing cash flow and reporting to support strategic growth. Your new role
Reporting into the Group CFO, you\’ll be responsible for:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure respect of deadlines. Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
- General Ledger Management: Ensure accounting posting updated and accurate (direct execution or through supervision of junior accountant staff). Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Monitor and resolve discrepancies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Analyse variances and provide insights for financial planning.
- Cash: Execution of payments and bank reconciliations, prepare cash flow forecasts, monitor collections from customers and credit management
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards. Implement and maintain internal controls.
- Taxation: Assist with tax audits and tax returns, ensure compliance with VAT and Corporate with the support of the tax advisors
- Payroll: Payroll accounting and HR control
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives. Prepare reports and presentations for management.
What you\’ll need to succeed
You\’ll ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong background in the retail or consumer sectors. Experience in team leadership
is a plus, and you should be comfortable in a hands-on, all-rounder role, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day financial operations.
What you\’ll get in return
