Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading sporting/events organisation to recruit a dynamic Finance Manager based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. An interesting position working within the charitable arm of the organisation, where you will join the main accounting team, taking lead of all financial operations and day-to-day accounting processes for this entity of the group. An opportunity to really add value to an organisation that is creating positive transformation centred around health/wellness campaigns, inclusive sporting opportunities and educational workshops. This permanent position is open to both part-time & full-time candidates, and would consider an experienced financial professional who wants to join this sector adding value or a driven accounting professional who can grow/develop into the role. Remote/office hybrid working pattern can be offered once settled into the organisation, along with flexible working hours.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting annual budgeting/forecasting processes, along with monitoring cash flow, working capital and accounts receivable. You will manage payroll reconciliations, company credit cards, support pricing strategies, along with financial analysis for new projects. You will support audit preparation, manage relationships with external stakeholders (HMRC, banks), along with partnering internally with senior leadership to explain financial data. You will provide various financial reports with analysis and partner internally supporting cost control along with process improvement to support the organisation's further growth.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Finance Manager role, you will need some experience in a similar position, key communication skills to partner internally with good stakeholder management. Key experience with financial systems & MS Excel, strong problem-solving skills with a positive, hands-on working approach. You will be part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience, adaptable to organisational needs & willing to learn. Experience within the sports sector would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Finance Manager role offers a salary up to £34,000 per annum or pro rata over part-time hours, based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. Remote/office hybrid working & flexible working hours are offered, along with on-site parking.
