A well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper to join its growing team. The firm has built a strong reputation for providing proactive accounting and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses across Yorkshire. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated bookkeeping professional who enjoys working closely with clients and utilising modern cloud-based accounting technology.
As a Cloud Bookkeeper, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of small business clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial information whilst building strong client relationships. You will support clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping needs and assist with wider accounts preparation work across the practice. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of cloud accounting clients
- Processing financial records using cloud-based accounting software
- Liaising directly with clients via telephone and email
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records and reconciliations
- Assisting with accounts preparation up to trial balance
- Supporting senior accountants with management accounts and ad-hoc assignments
Previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice environment is required, along with a strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks. Experience preparing bookkeeping records for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies is also essential.
Competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience. Ongoing training and development opportunities are available in a stable and growing practice with long-term career prospects. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with free on-site parking and local amenities nearby.
