Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be recruiting for a Commercial Management Accountant on behalf of a leading international manufacturing business based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join a well-established organisation operating within a growing and innovative sector successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial planning, commercial analysis and business performance, whilst also assisting with core financial reporting and finance team management responsibilities.
The RoleThis position offers a strong Commercial FP&A focus, partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide high-quality insight and analysis that supports strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop robust rolling financial models to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Conduct monthly sales and margin variance analysis, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations to improve business performance.
- Manage customer pricing structures, commission programmes and warranty reporting.
- Produce weekly cashflow analysis and forecasts.
- Support the Financial Controller with the preparation and submission of monthly reporting packs in line with strict group deadlines.
- Supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
- Provide cover and support for the Financial Controller when required.
- Ensure adherence to financial controls, compliance procedures and reporting standards.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Commercial Finance or FP&A position.
- Experience working within a large corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively.
- Excellent reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to demanding deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and wider Microsoft Office applications.
- The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- SAP and/or Tagetik experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
