A global Insurance Company operating across Europe, Asia and North America is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant to support a critical period of delivery across its European finance function. Operating in a complex, multi-entity environment, the business is undertaking a focused push to clear a backlog of subsidiary statutory accounts and strengthen financial reporting processes across the region. This role sits at the heart of that effort, requiring an experienced and self-sufficient contractor to take ownership of delivery and drive outcomes at pace within a technically demanding reporting landscape.
Your new role
- Lead end-to-end delivery of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under tight deadlines
- Interpret and apply IFRS alongside various local GAAP frameworks across EMEA jurisdictions
- Identify reporting gaps, resolve technical issues and drive completion through a hands-on approach
- Operate as a key contact for group reporting, ensuring alignment with central requirements
- Engage with local finance teams and stakeholders while maintaining independence and delivery focus
- Support process improvements to streamline reporting and enhance controls where required
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local GAAP across EMEA
- Proven track record operating in a high-pressure, delivery-focused environment
- Ability to work autonomously and take full accountability for outputs
- Strong stakeholder management capability across international teams
- Big 4 trained (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent, with significant contractor experience at a senior level
- A pragmatic, solutions-driven mindset with a clear 'own it and deliver' approach
