Your new company
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the largest and most complex organisations in Chester. You will be working for an organisation that contributes significantly to society. In addition, you will report to a talented Head of Finance who can help develop your skills and your career. This would suit a recently qualified accountant looking to make that first move from practice into an established finance department.
Your new role
As Financial Accountant you will lead month end and year end processes ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a timely and accurate basis. You'll play a key part in the development of processes, financial controls and systems, using your knowledge gained from practice. You'll lead the year end audit and liaise with the auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Using your extensive technical accounting skills you will apply the relevant accounting standards and advise on treatment of specific transactions. You will manage and develop a junior member of staff thereby developing your skills in leadership.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong experience of technical accounting and ideally audit or accounts preparation in practice. You should be happy to work in Chester on a 3 days a week basis.
