Hays Senior Finance are working with a rapidly growing manufacturing business to recruit a Commercial Accountant to join its finance team. This newly created vacancy offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation that is growing and forms part of a larger, global business.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Commercial Accountant will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, improving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Lead the 12 months rolling quarterly forecast, ensuring assumptions are clearly articulated and traceable through underlying planning processes in commercial and operations.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis and pricing decisions.
  • Provide timely monthly performance reporting.
  • Offer insights to operational and commercial leaders that add value and can help shape production planning and longer-term strategic initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional teams in aligning operational decisions with company strategy, sustainability objectives and customer commitments.

We are keen to speak to qualified accountants who have a proven background in management accounting and more recent commercial accounting experience, ideally with manufacturing experience. You must have a right to work in the UK and be based within a commutable distance.
