Job Description Credit Controller Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent An established and growing business is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships while driving cash collection and reducing aged debt. Manage a high-volume sales ledger and take ownership of debt collection activities. Proactively chase outstanding debts via telephone, email, letter, and customer meetings. Investigate and resolve account queries promptly, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders. Escalate high-risk accounts where necessary and assist with legal recovery processes, including final demand letters and court documentation. Monitor aged debt and identify opportunities to improve cash collection performance and reduce debtor days. Conduct credit checks and due diligence on new customers, supporting informed credit decisions. Work closely with sales and operational teams to balance commercial growth with effective risk management. Liaise with the invoicing team to ensure billing is accurate and issued in a timely manner. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function. Previous experience within a Credit Control role. Proven track record of cash collection and debt reduction.
