A Financial Services company based in Bristol is seeking a widely experienced Compliance and Governance Exec, with a mix of broad Business and FCA Regulated Compliance and Governance experience, to join and develop their Compliance function. Hybrid working 2-3 days a week in the office.
The Head of Compliance and Governance will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the organisation's compliance, risk, and governance frameworks. This includes ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, financial services obligations (where applicable), and ethical standards. The role is pivotal in safeguarding the organisation's reputation, ensuring regulatory alignment, and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency. It is a hands-on position and sits at Exec level.
- Regulatory FCA and PRA Compliance, Operational/Business Compliance and ISO standards
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Healthcare Governance
- Ethics and Integrity
Proven experience in an Exec-level compliance or governance role within financial services or a related FCA regulated environment, preferably in an SME environment where you have gained a broad mix of Business and Regulatory Compliance and Governance experience.
Experience managing audits, reporting to board/senior stakeholders.
Proven experience of managing an Information Security Management System (ISMS), including ISO 27001 certification.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance risk oversight with business agility and growth priorities.
Hybrid working - 2-3 days a week in the office in Bristol and 2 or 3 days working from home.
Salary £100,000-110,000 neg depending on experience, plus benefits.
