Your new company: I am working with a well-established and growing business in Burnley, who are looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of key financial processes, while contributing to continuous improvement across the function.

Your new role: In your new role as Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities, including full month-end processes such as prepayments, accruals, journals, profit and loss reporting, and comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations. You will manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalisation and depreciation, as well as handling a high volume of intercompany transactions, journals, and reconciliations. This is a full-time role, based from their offices in Burnley.

What you'll need to succeed: To be considered for this role, you will be part-qualified ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience, with a minimum AAT qualification. You will have at least five years experience in an accounting role, including a minimum of two years producing management accounts. You will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines are essential. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills are required, and experience using Sage would be advantageous.
