I am delighted to be working with an established and growing business based in Blackburn, who are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance function in a varied role, working closely with both the wider finance team and other departments across the business. In your new role as Credit Controller, you will take responsibility for maintaining accurate customer ledgers and supporting the effective day-to-day running of the sales ledger and credit control function. Your responsibilities will include processing daily payments, producing credits and invoices, reconciling merchant statements and monitoring transactions to ensure sales and refunds across B2C channels are accurately captured. You will also issue month-end statements to credit customers, complete credit card reconciliations and ensure accounts remain up to date and accurate. Alongside this, you will carry out credit checks and due diligence on new accounts, monitor accounts in line with the company's credit insurance policy and identify higher-risk or slow-paying customers for escalation. You will work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve invoicing and account queries efficiently. You will be a motivated and proactive individual who is comfortable taking ownership of your workload within a busy finance environment. You'll also need excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and confidence using Microsoft applications. Experience working with strong financial controls and processes would also be beneficial, particularly within a fast-paced transactional finance environment. In return for this, you will be offered a competitive salary up to Β£33,000 alongside a healthcare plan, on-site gym, staff discounts on products, Cycle to Work scheme, company pension and free on-site parking. You'll receive 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 23 days after three years' service, alongside a 30-minute lunch break.
