A growing organisation within the construction, fit-out and facilities services sector is expanding its finance team in Belfast. Due to continued contract wins and long-term growth plans, they are seeking a Finance Assistant to support daily transactional activity and strengthen the team as the business scales. You will be joining a supportive, collaborative environment with a strong people-focused culture.

As Finance Assistant, you will play an important role in the smooth running of the finance function. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring shared finance inboxes and managing incoming queries
  • Processing purchase invoices using a 3-way match process
  • Completing monthly supplier reconciliations
  • Investigating discrepancies and resolving queries promptly
  • Processing subcontractor invoices
  • Assisting with monthly payment runs
  • Supporting wider finance colleagues as needed
  • Carrying out general administration and ad-hoc tasks

This is a full-time, permanent, office-based position in Belfast.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts support role (approx. 2 years)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero or similar
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve queries confidently
  • A team-oriented approach and willingness to support colleagues
  • Experience in construction or facilities management (desirable but not essential)
  • You must also be able to reliably commute to the Belfast office.
