Your new company Hays are delighted to be recruiting for a leading public sector organisation seeking an Administration Officer to join their team.

Your new role As an Administration Officer- Grants, you will provide essential administrative and financial support within a busy team.

Your responsibilities will include processing and verifying claims, reviewing supporting documentation, carrying out financial checks, preparing payments, maintaining accurate records and databases, and responding to queries from stakeholders.

You will also assist with report preparation, correspondence, and general administrative duties, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

This is a hybrid role, working 37 hours per week.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths, along with previous administrative experience.

You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

You will be able to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Experience within a finance, grants, or public sector environment would be advantageous.
