The predicted salary is between 34000 - 51000 £ per year.

Your new company are a leader in their field, based in Stoke-on-Trent and are looking for an Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role includes:

  • Month-end processes and the production of accurate monthly management accounts
  • Reporting and explanations of significant variations between actual results and budget
  • Reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts and monthly trial balance
  • Ensuring HMRC compliance - VAT Returns and PAYE liabilities are submitted and paid in a timely manner
  • Cash-flow forecasting and management
  • Reconciliation of invoice discounting facility
  • Assisting and supporting the Finance Manager in the day-to-day management of the team
  • Act as a business partner to operational and commercial stakeholders within the business
  • Liaising closely with the company's external auditors in audit of year-end
  • Developing efficient systems for continuing improvement in effective financial management

What you'll need to succeed:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified or qualified by experience
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven capability of delivering timely and accurate accounts and reports
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Good working use of Excel and experience of using ERP systems
