Your new company is proud to be a smaller niche independent established Lloyd's Broker based in the heart of the City and with offices across the world. They have offices in over 12 countries and over 100+ staff worldwide, specialising in unique insurance solutions. The business has expanded, and they deal with specialist classes to include Property, Marine, Fine Art and Specie, Construction, Aviation, Energy, Real Estate, Professional Indemnity and Cyber Risk. Your new company are uniquely positioned to provide their customers with quality insurance solutions, advice and personal services.

Due to substantial growth within the Technical team a permanent position for a Binder Technician/ Senior Binder Technician has arisen.

Your new role working as a Binder Technician or Senior Binding Authority Technician means you will be providing guidance and support to teams in relation to Delegated authority business and assisting in the management of all Internal and Third-Party binding authorities including the monitoring of declarations and bordereaux. Duties will include:

  • Preparing new and renewal contracts for all delegated authority business
  • Preparing renewal presentations and statistics for all binding authorities and/or line slips
  • Providing reporting, addressing DA performance, and ensuring binding authority limits and guidelines are adhered to
  • Management of Lloyd's DCOM, DDM and Atlas systems
  • Producing and monitoring quarterly premiums for Third Party binding authorities
  • Issuing triangle statistics and managing and assisting new Coverholders applications
  • Dealing with Profit Commission calculations and collections on binders
  • Providing statistics on contracts, territories and lineslips
  • Providing management information on agents on a quarterly basis

What you'll need to succeed:

Your previous experience working as a Binder Technician or Binding Authority Technician with the experience in handling International Binders will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have knowledge of general insurance business and be confident in FCA and Lloyd's Market requirements. You will need market, industry and product knowledge and be proactive in keeping knowledge up to date. You will have numeracy and literacy skills as well as communication, organisational and data analysis skills. You will act with integrity, due skills, care and diligence. Ideally you will have experience in systems such as Atlas, DCOM, DDM, Lloyd's Crystal, Aims (Lloyd's Audit), PPL, Whitespace and Microsoft Office Suite.
