Companies House is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive to drive its most ambitious reform programme since 1844. The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 has empowered Companies House to play a significant role in the fight against economic crime. This landmark legislation is already reshaping the organisation, but the journey has only begun.
Playing a critical role in the UK economy, Companies House is making the UK a great place to start and run a business. As an executive agency of the Department for Business and Trade, the data on their registers informs business decisions, combats economic crime, drives corporate transparency and supports growth. Companies House handled over 1.5 million incorporations and dissolutions last financial year and the value of the register to UK businesses has been estimated to be up to £3bn annually.
They are looking for someone with the experience of leading and delivering genuine transformational change; who can reach out and build new partnerships in the public and private sector; who can support and challenge the organisation as it seeks to deliver this change and ensure that Companies House continues to provide excellent service to the 5 million companies on the register.
The successful candidate will have direct and extensive experience in guiding an organisation through a period of significant change whilst fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
