We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Product (Sales) Consultant to join our dealership team. You will represent our exciting new Changan franchise and support customers throughout their vehicle-buying journey, from initial enquiry to handover. Alongside passenger vehicles, you will also assist with the sale of our commercial vehicle range. In this customer-facing role, you will build strong relationships, identify individual needs, present suitable vehicle options, and deliver a high-quality showroom experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, confidence in a retail or automotive sales environment, and a passion for providing outstanding service. Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their vehicle requirements and guide them through the sales process.
  • Present vehicle features, benefits, and finance options clearly, tailoring solutions to individual customer needs.
  • Utilise effective upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring all interactions, enquiries, and sales progress are accurately recorded.
  • Collaborate with the sales management team to support strategies that expand market reach and drive revenue growth.
  • Demonstrate professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills across all customer contact points.
  • Organise appointments, test drives, and follow-ups efficiently, showing strong time-management and organisational skills.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the dealership, showcasing the latest Changan models as well as our commercial vehicle range.
  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations and accompany customers on test drives.
  • Work closely with the administration team to ensure a smooth and efficient purchasing and handover experience.
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge, including new models, features, and technologies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a sales, customer service, or hospitality role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to use effective upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximise revenue.
  • Strong active-listening skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and provide informed recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
