Role: After-School Club Assistant at Haymoor Junior School
Hours: 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3.00 pm - 4.30 pm
Salary: £24,796 - £25,185 per annum pro-rata, Grade C (scale point 3 - 4) Actual Salary £4,173.83 - £4,239.30 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term - linked to SEN funding and will continue for as long as the pupil requires additional support. Term time only September start.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and hardworking After School Club Assistant to join our friendly after-school club team, with the skills to work across the whole primary school age range.
Responsibilities
- Assist the after school club team with the day-to-day operation of the After School Club service for children, ensuring they can develop personally, socially and educationally, in a safe, caring environment.
- Help prepare rooms and resources and ensure that play equipment, materials and refreshments are set up at the beginning of the sessions and cleared away safely at the end of the session.
- Assist the Line Manager with maintaining accurate attendance records, ensure that children use play equipment correctly and contribute to the continuous development of the club, whilst providing a high standard of care.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Experience of working with 4 – 11-year-olds and their families and a suitable childcare qualification.
- Understanding and commitment to good quality childcare.
- Cheerful, flexible and approachable.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and able to use own initiative.
- Works well in a team.
- Excellent communication and administration skills.
