If so, we want to hear from you! We are a leading planning consultancy based in Nottingham, seeking an experienced Chartered Town Planner to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in delivering a wide range of planning services, helping to shape the future of both urban and rural developments across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning applications from inception through to approval, providing expert advice to clients on planning strategies.
  • Prepare and submit planning reports, policy reviews, and strategic advice for both private and public sector clients.
  • Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and the community to build strong relationships and ensure planning proposals meet regulatory and community needs.
  • Contribute to the development of planning policies, strategies, and vision documents that promote sustainable growth in Nottingham and surrounding areas.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and legal teams to resolve complex planning issues and deliver successful projects.
  • Stay updated on national and local planning legislation, providing guidance to clients on any changes or implications.

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in town planning, ideally with a strong background in UK planning legislation and policy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships across different stakeholders.
  • Strong report writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to project management, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in dealing with a variety of planning applications, appeals, and consultations.
  • A keen interest in sustainable urban development and placemaking.
