This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-starting creative content specialist to deliver innovative solutions across a market-leading automotive portfolio, including What Car? and Autocar. You'll pitch multi-platform ideas to agencies and clients, spanning digital, mobile, video, social media, events and print.

Haymarket Automotive Studio creates bespoke content solutions that connect brands with our influential audiences. This role is ideal for a creative solutions strategist or agency planner who enjoys selling, shaping compelling ideas and taking on strategic and commercial responsibility in a high-profile environment.

Summary Of The Role's Main Purpose

The main purpose of the role is to respond to client briefs (both formal briefs and proactive pitches) with partnership and content ideas that answer their business challenges. You'll work with a strong base of major agencies and clients alongside our sales teams, while also developing new, profitable relationships across the automotive services sectors. The role includes supporting the Strategy Director on direct manufacturer briefs and engaging clients on multi-channel marketing, retail support, PR, product launches, branded content and sponsorship. Reporting to the Strategy Director, you'll collaborate closely with agency and client sales and be supported by the Automotive Studio delivery and project management teams. You will also be working on growing our newest revenue stream which is stand alone creative and production services.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the agency and client sales teams to deliver creative responses to briefs with a focus on engagement and action.
  • Utilising data to develop well-informed strategic plans for clients/agencies.
  • Exploring clients' businesses to get to know their brands and understand their objectives.
  • Produce cohesive and intelligent plans to bring success to campaigns.
  • Forge relationships with senior agency contacts predominantly on the strategic, planning and creative solutions side of their business.
  • Establish relationships with key people within direct client businesses (principally automotive and audience-related clients - e.g., fuel, tyres, lifestyle).
  • Support the car manufacturer direct client leadership team.
  • Generating original ideas with other members of the team.
  • Identify potential problems and devise ways to rectify them.

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria

  • Considerable experience of developing strategic plans that benefit the client/agency.
  • Proven track record of pitching creative solutions campaigns.
  • Excellent understanding of selling, delivering and measuring success of creative solutions.
  • Proven experience understanding complex projects/workflow.
  • Network agency contacts (planners) and experience of dealing directly with clients. Automotive client contacts are a great bonus.
  • Proven experience presenting to clients.
  • Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication.
