Hayman Distillers is a truly independent, 5th generation family distilling company. The Hayman Distillers portfolio includes Hayman’s Gin, Merser Handcrafted Rums, and Respirited British Made Vodka. Today, Hayman’s is recognised internationally as the leading independent English Gin and is available in over 70 countries.
We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager for the Northwest region of England. With a strong existing presence across the On Trade, this is a very exciting time to join a collaborative and agile company, with significant opportunities to develop.
The Role:
The Key Account Manager will be tasked with driving the sales and distribution of the Hayman Distillers portfolio within the UK On-Trade sector in the North West region. In addition, they will deliver and maintain high-quality listings in strategically important independent and group accounts. The Key Account Manager will maintain long-term partnerships and agreements with some of the finest businesses. Finally, they will work to maximise sales through cocktail and house pouring deals and increase the rate of sale through activations, brand visibility, and offer a fantastic experience for both the account and their customers.
Main responsibilities:
- Working alongside a fantastic team, the Key Account Manager will drive growth across the portfolio and be a true ambassador for Hayman Distillers.
- Focused on the North West and surrounding areas, primarily Manchester and Liverpool, the Key Account Manager will be tasked with delivering new business opportunities across the On Trade, focused on house pour and cocktail listings.
- Account management of existing customers, identifying further growth opportunities.
- Work closely with key RTMs and wholesalers, unlocking partnerships and tender opportunities.
- Grow the Hayman Distillers presence, increasing visibility of the portfolio, ensuring back-bar placements, drinks listings, cocktail activations, and POS placement.
- Maintain a CRM system to track new customers and existing customers.
- Work closely with the wider team, supporting other functions to ensure all are aligned on business strategy.
This is a customer-facing role and the successful candidate will have fantastic interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a wider range of stakeholders across the On Trade. Prior experience:
- Must be working within the drinks industry (ideally within premium spirits).
- Has On Trade experience and is aware of key contacts within the industry.
- Understands RTM and Wholesale.
- Skilled in both new business and account management.
- Experienced with independents and group businesses.
- Can evidence delivering success within the role – can demonstrate growth of your accounts and previous achievements securing house pour and cocktail listings.
