We’re looking for an energetic, commercially minded and highly proactive Head of Digital Marketing & E-commerce to join our small London team.
This is a senior but genuinely hands-on role for someone who combines strong creative instincts with commercial thinking and excellent execution.
As a small independent business, we need someone who is as comfortable having the idea as they are making it happen.
Working closely with the Founder & Creative Director, you’ll help shape our marketing strategy, own the marketing budget and calendar, and lead its day-to-day execution across e-commerce, CRM, paid digital, social and retail.
You’ll manage and mentor a small team, including our Community & Customer Care Executive, alongside a freelance copywriter and graphic designer.
We love AI and are continually looking for smarter ways to work, so strong experience using tools such as Chat GPT or Claude to optimise workflows, improve output and make better use of your time is important to us.
- What you’ll be doing
- Own and manage the marketing calendar and critical path, coordinating campaigns, product launches and key trading moments.
- Work closely with the Founder & Creative Director to brainstorm relevant, creative ideas for launches, content, customer engagement and brand-building, and turn those ideas into action.
- Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring spend is commercially focused and aligned with business priorities.
- Own the day-to-day trading and merchandising of our Shopify store, with a strong focus on commercial performance.
- Manage product launches and uploads, ensuring imagery, copy, pricing and product information are accurate and live on time.
- Monitor and report on sales, sell-through and line-level performance, using data to help inform reorder decisions, stock strategy and merchandising priorities.
- Own our Klaviyo email marketing, including building and executing campaigns, segmentation, automated and triggered CRM flows and lifecycle messaging.
- Own and manage paid media across Meta and Google, from campaign planning and creative development through to build, optimisation, reporting and performance.
- Create and adapt digital assets for email, paid media and campaigns using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop.
- Oversee social activity at a high level, ensuring it aligns with product launches, campaigns and the wider marketing calendar.
- Brief and manage our freelance copywriter and graphic designer, ensuring work is delivered on brief and on time.
- Manage, mentor and develop our Community & Customer Care Executive, providing clear direction, support and constructive feedback.
- Liaise closely with our retail team, supporting in-store activations and ensuring consistency between the online and in-store customer experience.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, optimise workflows and improve the customer journey, including through the intelligent use of AI.
- What we’re looking for
- Proactive and self-starting - you see what needs doing and take ownership.
- Positive and energetic, bringing momentum and enthusiasm to a small team.
- Creative but practical - you have strong ideas and know how to execute them.
- Commercially minded and analytical, comfortable getting into the numbers and using data to make decisions.
- Calm and resilient under pressure, comfortable working at pace and adapting when priorities change.
- Exceptionally organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
- Visually strong, with a great eye and genuine instinct for fashion and brand.
- Resourceful and solutions-focused, with the ability to make things happen within the realities of a small independent business.
- A confident and supportive manager who enjoys mentoring and developing more junior members of the team.
- Curious about technology and enthusiastic about using AI to work smarter and more efficiently.
- Happy to be genuinely hands-on. There isn’t a large department underneath this role, so no task should feel too small when it needs to get done.
Skills & experience
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience across digital marketing and e-commerce, ideally within fashion, luxury or a design-led consumer brand.
- Significant hands-on experience using Shopify and Klaviyo.
- Strong experience in e-commerce trading, online merchandising and product launches.
- Proven experience managing Meta and Google paid media hands-on, including campaign creation, optimisation, performance analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of sales, sell-through, conversion and line-level product performance, with the ability to translate data into commercial actions.
- Experience building and executing Klaviyo campaigns, automated CRM flows, segmentation and lifecycle marketing.
- Comfortable creating and adapting assets using Canva, Photoshop and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior team members and briefing freelance creative partners.
- Confident using AI tools such as Chat GPT or Claude as part of your day-to-day workflow.
- Strong project-management skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- A strong visual eye, genuine fashion sensibility and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Above all, we’re looking for someone who will thrive in a small, entrepreneurial business - someone with resilience, initiative, energy and ideas who enjoys being close to the product, close to the Founder and close to the execution.
