We are looking for a Designer specialising in womenswear to join the team full-time, working closely with the Creative Director. This is a hands-on role within a growing independent luxury brand, suited to someone with strong creative instinct, excellent taste, and solid technical ability. The brand is rooted in a modern bohemian aesthetic with a London, rock-and-roll edge, built through vintage references, global influences, and rich surface detail. You will work closely with the Creative Director, who leads vintage sourcing and overall direction. From this, you will play a key role in translating references into considered, modern, and commercially relevant designs. We are looking for thoughtful, well-resolved design rather than high-volume sketch work.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Creative Director to develop seasonal collections
- Translate vintage references into resolved, wearable designs
- Lead mood boards and design development from concept stage
- Design across wovens, knitwear, denim, jersey and soft tailoring
- Create high-quality CADs and full tech packs
- Collaborate with our Print & Surface Design Manager on colour, print and placement
- Develop embellishment, trims and surface detail
- Attend and contribute to fittings, refining product through to final sign-off
- Work with our Head of Product and Product Development to ensure strong execution
The Ideal Candidate
- 3 - 5 years’ experience within a premium or luxury womenswear brand
- Strong all-round designer across wovens and ideally knitwear
- Confident in fittings and garment construction
- Strong eye for print, colour, proportion and detail
- Experience with embellishment, trims and textile-led design
- Excellent CAD and technical skills (including tech packs)
- Able to take direction and translate it into well-considered product
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable in a small, collaborative team
- Genuine interest in vintage, textiles and craftsmanship
Salary £32,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
