Hayley Menzies is an independent British fashion brand known for its signature knitwear, eclectic prints, and a distinct “refined rebel” spirit. Designed in London and inspired by a global, nomadic aesthetic, the brand blends craftsmanship with a modern, effortless attitude.
We are looking for an E-commerce & Digital Assistant (Undergraduate Placement Year) to join the Hayley Menzies team. This is a hands-on role within a growing independent fashion brand, supporting across e-commerce, digital marketing and content. You’ll work closely with the team on day-to-day trading, product launches and campaign execution, gaining real experience across both the creative and commercial sides of the business.
The Role
You will support the running of the e-commerce business and wider digital function, working closely with the Head of E-commerce & Digital, Customer Care, and Marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- E-commerce
- Product uploads and catalogue management on Shopify
- Image and product data accuracy checks
- Homepage and site updates
- Supporting product launches and drop days
- Customer Care
- Managing first-response customer enquiries via Zendesk
- Handling day-to-day queries (delivery, returns, sizing)
- Supporting returns and exchanges
- Escalating sensitive or complex issues
- CRM & Email
- Building and scheduling emails in Klaviyo
- Supporting updates to automated flows
- Uploading and organising campaign assets
- Content & Marketing Support
- Assisting with in-house content shoots (styling, preparation, logistics)
- Supporting influencer gifting and tracking
- Managing digital assets and imagery across platforms
- General Digital Support
- Affiliate link creation and uploads (e.g. AWIN / LTK)
- Supporting reporting and data organisation
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day digital operations
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Digitally confident and quick to learn new systems
- Clear and professional written communication
- A proactive mindset - someone who takes ownership
- Calm, methodical approach to tasks and deadlines
- Genuine interest in fashion, styling, and brand
Preferred Background
- Degree or current study in Fashion Business, Marketing, Business, or similar
- Previous internship, retail, or customer-facing experience is a plus
- Any exposure to e-commerce platforms is beneficial but not essential
