Known for its unique aesthetic, Hayley Menzies crafts timeless pieces for those with a bold and refined sense of style.
Hayley Menzies is seeking a freelance Assistant/Junior Designer to join our Notting Hill studio, working directly with our Founder & Creative Director on Spring/Summer 2027. This is a 4-month freelance contract, starting immediately, with the potential to develop into a full-time permanent role for the right candidate.
This role is suited to a Fashion Design Graduate who specialises in knitwear but has hands-on experience in woven's design too. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of industry experience within a premium or luxury fashion brand, and a strong eye for colour, surface design and print, with excellent taste levels.
Key requirements:- Fashion design degree with knitwear specialism
- Experience designing knitwear, wovens and jersey
- Minimum 1 year placement or industry experience at premium / designer level
- Strong eye for colour, print, and surface design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and CAD
- Positive, flexible, proactive attitude
- Studio-based role in Notting Hill
