Hayley Dexis has an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic Warehouse/Stores Assistant to join our well-established and experienced team based at our Worcester branch. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary. About the Warehouse/Stores Assistant role: As our Warehouse/Stores Assistant, you will mainly be assisting with operations in our warehouse, picking, packing and dispatching goods. You will also be required to assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, shelving items in the correct locations, stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network. A good mix of warehouse and admin experience is essential for this role as you’ll also be responsible for arranging TNT bookings and processing orders, as well as doing regular stock takes. You’ll work closely with the rest of the team, supporting the sales office by handling phone enquiries and assisting customers at the Trade Counter. From time to time, you may also be asked to collect or deliver goods on an ad-hoc basis, so a flexible, hands-on approach is essential.
The environment and culture are one where everyone mucks in and works across a variety of tasks. That could mean one moment you’ll be booking goods in at the warehouse and the next hopping in the van to assist with a delivery. Working hours: Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week, 08:00 – 17:00, with 1 hour for lunch.
What we’re looking for in our Warehouse/Stores Assistant:
- Valid UK driving license – essential
- Experience with using a fork lift is desirable but full training will be provided
- Excellent computer skills
- Good team player
- Good communication skills
- Experience of working in a similar warehouse environment
