We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for a Quality Inspector with manufacturing expertise to make a real impact supporting the quality control team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections on materials, components, and finished products to make sure everything meets drawings, specifications and customer or international quality standards.
- Check quality at every stage from incoming goods through to final dispatch.
- Read and interpret technical drawings or other engineering documentation to make sure everything is correct with purchase order requirements.
- Help keep us compliant with industry standards like ISO, EN, and rail safety requirements.
- Record findings clearly and keep quality systems up to date.
- Spot issues early, raise non-conformances, and support improvements via corrective actions.
- Work closely with customer service, projects, procurement and supply chain teams to solve problems and improve quality.
- Make sure inspection tools are calibrated and used correctly at all times.
What will set you apart
- Proven experience in a quality inspection role or significant experience within engineering or manufacturing, ideally within the rail, aerospace, or heavy industry sectors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and measurement tools.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Experience identifying and managing non-conformances and corrective actions.
