Hayley Dexis has an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic and motivated External Salesperson to join our well-established and experienced team based at our Sheffield Branch. Hayley Dexis is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables in the UK. About the External Salesperson role:
- You’ll be our full-time salesperson focusing on external sales.
- Expect to be out on the road across the South Yorkshire and Northeast Derbyshire geographies.
- You’ll be dealing with existing customers but really targeting new opportunities and new customers.
- Our existing customer base is very diverse from engineering companies to food as well as defence and steelworks.
- You’ll have prior experience in sales ideally with some crossover to what we do i.e. engineering or manufacturing background.
- You’ll be driven and excited to make that sale!
- If you are comfortable approaching customers, knocking on doors and thrive off making the smallest to the largest sales we want to hear from you!
- Drive, enthusiasm, perseverance and persistence are the core of what we are looking for in this role and so we will consider a range of different experience levels.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday; 8:30am – 5:30pm
What we’re looking for in our Sales Executive:
- A good level of knowledge in the MRO space along with the products that we sell, although crossover experience will be considered.
- A high level of motivation and enthusiasm to drive sales.
- Good systems knowledge and IT skills.
- Prior external sales experience.
- Confident communicator – not afraid to cold call cross industry.
- Thrive in a role where you are given a high level of autonomy and trusted to deliver and drive innovation.
- Strong interest in learning our product range / engineering.
