Hayley Dexis is looking for a Warehouse Apprentice to join our Onsite Warehouse Team in Kettering. Hayley Dexis is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables in the UK. About the Apprentice opportunity:

As an Apprentice you will be working for the Milton Keynes Branch but based on one of our customer locations in Thrapston. You’ll be comfortable working within a warehouse environment and happy to get stuck in, dirty your hands and learn on the job! This is a unique opportunity where you will be working for Hayley but onsite at a customer warehouse operation. We’re looking for someone who is happy to go the mile with a customer service mindset. You’ll learn things like stock checking, warehousing duties, ordering parts, putting stock away, receiving goods and generally keeping the customer site clean and tidy.

You’ll have achieved your GCSEs (or above) or equivalent qualification to be at the right standard for this role. Successful candidates will undertake an apprenticeship in Warehousing Operations or Customer Service. The level of qualification will depend on what current level of qualification you have achieved already. Study and coursework hours will be within the working day and the duration of our apprenticeships are typically 1 – 2 years. Candidates can expect regular meetings and catch ups with the course provider within working hours as well.

Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm) based on-site.

What we’re looking for:

  • A keen interest in learning about all aspects of Hayley operations to include warehousing, stores, administrative duties.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Able to travel to work and based locally.
  • No prior experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Logical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Well-presented and enthusiastic about building a career.

Competitive Apprenticeship Salary of £17,056. Warehouse focused or Customer Service Apprenticeship Course to L2 or L3. From 23 days annual leave (plus public/bank holidays) increased with length of service. In-house training provided through Hayley Inspire. Company pension. Free Death in Service cover (x2 salary).
