We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to lead our reporting and analytics capability, strengthen reporting governance and help colleagues turn data into clear, reliable insight.
About the Business Intelligence Manager role:
As our Business Intelligence Manager, you will lead the analysis of reporting and insight requirements, report and dashboard design, scheduled and ad hoc reporting, BI standards, reporting catalogues, quality assurance and the controlled development of our BI and reporting estate.
You will work closely with the appropriate business, system, technical and data owners, ensuring accountability for source systems, business processes, core data platforms, infrastructure, applications and data remains clearly defined.
You’ll play a key role engaging with stakeholders across our business to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, clarify data definitions, challenge unclear or low-value requests and translate business questions into clear reporting requirements.
What we’re looking for in our Business Intelligence Manager:
• Proven experience in BI, reporting, data visualisation, management information, analytics, or a similar reporting leadership role
• Strong ability to perform business analysis for reporting needs, define KPIs, clarify data definitions, and translate business requirements into reporting solutions
• Experience designing, delivering, maintaining, and improving reports, dashboards, BI models, and scheduled reporting outputs
• Experience coaching or developing team members in reporting tools, BI delivery practices, data validation, requirements analysis, and quality assurance
• Practical experience of BI and reporting tools, ideally including Phocas, Birst and Power BI
• Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, validation, access control, documentation, reporting governance, and change control
