Hayley Dexis is looking for a Customer Service Apprentice to join our team at our Bradford branch. Hayley Dexis is the UK’s largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables. We employ over 1,300 people and pride ourselves on delivering industry‑leading customer service.

About the Customer Service Apprenticeship

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in customer service within a busy and supportive branch environment. As a Customer Service Apprentice, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across key areas of the branch, building the skills needed to deliver excellent service to our customers. You will rotate through:

  • Trade Counter – supporting and serving customers face‑to‑face
  • Internal Sales / Office – handling calls, emails, and customer enquiries
  • Warehouse Operations – understanding stock, order fulfilment, and logistics

This well‑rounded approach ensures you develop a strong understanding of both our products and how we support customers from enquiry through to delivery. You’ll learn how to:

  • Communicate confidently with customers and colleagues
  • Handle enquiries, orders and problem‑solving effectively
  • Use internal systems and processes
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast‑paced environment

Following successful completion, there may be the opportunity to progress into a Customer Service or Internal Sales role.

Apprenticeship Details

  • Apprenticeship in Customer Service (Level 2 or 3 depending on experience)
  • Duration: typically 12–18 months
  • Study and coursework completed during working hours
  • Regular support from a training provider and your manager

Working Hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 5:30 pm) Based on‑site at our Bradford branch.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Basic IT skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Strong attention to detail and logical thinking
  • Well‑presented and professional approach
  • Able to travel to and work locally

No prior experience is required—just the right attitude and commitment to learning.
