There is no such thing as a typical day however your responsibilities would include: β’ Take ownership of key areas within the accounts function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting β’ Prepare monthly management accounts, providing clear insight to support business decision-making β’ Work closely with budget holders and operational teams to understand performance and provide financial guidance β’ Support budgeting and forecasting processes, helping to track performance against plans β’ Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies β’ Assist with statutory accounts preparation and support external audits β’ Improve and streamline processes to make the finance function more efficient and value-adding β’ Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant financial regulations β’ Get involved in projects across the business, offering financial insight and supporting wider commercial goals
