About The Assistant Branch Manager – Falkirk

We have a rare opportunity to join our very successful Falkirk Branch Team during an exciting and busy period of growth here at Hayley. We’re looking for a natural leader to support and collaborate with all team members and wider colleagues across the Group. You’ll thrive in a busy environment and will love getting stuck into the daily running of Branch life. You’ll have strong commercial acumen and excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing a sales strategy. We’re looking for excellent product knowledge as well as evidence of achieving sustained sales, profit and margin improvement. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience within the MRO sector and will ideally have experience already at assistant manager level or sales management level position.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

  • Leadership & Management: Supporting the Branch Manager to coordinate, motivate, and develop a close-knit team when delivering performance, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement. Support and lead effective management meetings, ensuring alignment of priorities and communication across departments. Provide clear leadership in setting goals, evaluating performance, and supporting HR processes including staff development, and succession planning.
  • Strategic & Business Development: Supporting the Branch Manager to develop and implement our strategic plan, aligned with Hayley Dexis Group objectives, to deliver sustainable growth and profitability. Supporting the Sales Division to identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers through a structured sales strategy and proactive key-account engagement. Lead efforts to expand Hayley Dexis Group product and solution portfolio across all key industry sectors by means of customer quotations, supported external sales calls, building relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Commercial & Financial Tasks: Supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing all aspects of business operations to ensure efficient performance and long-term financial stability. Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, ensuring compliance with Hayley Dexis Group reporting requirements. Drive margin improvement initiatives through cost control, product conversions, and pricing discipline.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Supporting the sales team and executing a growth-focused sales strategy aimed at increasing market share in key customer segments. Support the sales team in identifying target accounts, developing value propositions, and closing opportunities. Encourage use of CRM tools, digital marketing, and e-commerce platforms to enhance customer reach and retention. Represent Hayley Dexis Group, when required, at key customer and supplier meetings to strengthen market presence and strategic partnerships.
