We specialise in the service, repair and overhaul of mechanical and electro/mechanical rotating equipment, delivering reliable, high-quality solutions to keep industry moving.
We are now recruiting for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a variety of projects, producing high-quality metalwork in line with technical specifications and drawings.
As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for:
- Interpreting and working from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing metals using appropriate tools and machinery
- Carrying out welding using MIG, TIG, and ARC techniques
- Assembling metal components into complete structures or products
- Inspecting welds and finished work to ensure quality and precision
- Repairing and maintaining existing metalwork and equipment
- Operating fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, and cutting torches
- Following all health & safety regulations at all times
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean workspace
- Working collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other trades
In order to be successful in this role you should have:
- Strong knowledge of welding and fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of workplace health & safety practices
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- NVQ (or equivalent) in Welding, Fabrication, or Engineering
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication
- Welding certifications (desirable, not essential)
- Experience using fabrication and welding equipment
Working Environment:
- Based in workshop, factory, or on-site environments
- Involves physical work including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Exposure to heat and noise
- PPE must be worn at all times
