The predicted salary is between 20000 - 30000 £ per year.

The internship is full-time, for six months, from September 2026. You will be based in Hayfin's London office. The Private Credit off-cycle internship is an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere in the Private Credit Division by taking on some of the responsibilities and functions of a Full-time Analyst for a short period. You will spend your time working across the private credit strategies (Direct Lending and Special Opportunities), building basic skills in financial analysis, valuation, credit analysis while working on a wide range of international transactions across EMEA. You will receive on-the-job training and benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and synthesising financial and operating information about companies and industries
  • Gathering market data to analyse trends and help value companies and price transactions
  • Creating investment memoranda and financial models and presenting findings to senior management
  • Attending team discussions and client meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum educational experience: Bachelor degree completed, or due to be completed at the point of commencing the Hayfin internship
  • Professional experience: preference for prior experience of 3-6 months at a finance/investment related role (internships included)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills that allow you to analyse financial data
  • Results-driven person capable of working under pressure and under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and able to present complex ideas and summarise them efficiently
  • Team player with the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities
  • Excellent academic background
  • Fluency in English; the ability to communicate effectively in other languages is an advantage
  • Commitment to excellence in your work and maintain high professional and ethical standards
