Hayesfield Girls' School is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Science Technician to lead our technical support service. This is a key leadership role within the Science Department, responsible for managing a team of technicians and ensuring that our laboratories provide a safe, inspiring, and high-quality environment that encourages students to engage deeply with science.

This is a full‑time role during term time only in addition to five INSET days and 2 weeks during the school holidays. We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible working arrangements and are happy to discuss various working patterns during the interview process.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Team Leadership: Direct and performance manage the technician team, including appraisals, staff deployment, and attendance management.

Hayesfield Girls' School is seeking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to join as soon as possible. Salary: £28,142‑£31,022 per annum pro rata (Grade 5, SCP 11‑17). Actual salary: £25,474‑£28,081 per annum.
