Hours: Mon- Fri - (FT) 32.5 hours perweek 8:30am - 3:30pm with 30-minute unpaid break

The role is based out of class and involves leadingon achievement for children in vulnerable groups, including children with SEND.The role is supported by an SEN assistant. The role also includes a widerresponsibility for developing teaching and learning throughout the school.
We are looking for a strong practitioner withexperience of leading SEN provision with excellent interpersonal skills, theability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues and who is passionateabout raising standards and life chances for all children. The suitablecandidate will have, be in the process of or willing to complete the NationalSENCO Award.
The successful candidate will work closely withTeachers and TAs ensuring optimum impact on achievement for all children, butparticularly those in vulnerable groups across the school. This person will take responsibility for theraising of standards in SEND provision. The role will involve supporting the strategic planning for the school,with significant input / responsibility for areas of the School DevelopmentPlan and School Self Evaluation Form and then ensuring delivery of theobjectives set. This will include (amongst other things):
- leading the schoolprovision map
- developing class profile of needs
- the analysis of data
- linemanagement of Teaching Assistants
- leading areas of performance management
- assisting in the delivery of CPD
- liaising with families
