Haydon School is a large, friendly and highly inclusive secondary school in North West London, proudly judged Good by Ofsted. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and committed Teacher of Business and Economics to join our successful and thriving Social Science Department from January 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with experience of teaching A-Level Business and Economics to inspire students, develop their understanding of the world around them and prepare them for future study, employment and responsible participation in the economy. We welcome applications from both early-career teachers and experienced practitioners who are committed to delivering high-quality teaching and achieving excellent outcomes for all learners.
Our Social Science Department is a collaborative and forward-thinking team that values subject expertise, intellectual curiosity and a shared commitment to student success. We aim to provide an ambitious, engaging and challenging curriculum that enables students to develop their analytical, evaluative and critical-thinking skills. Through real-world case studies, contemporary economic issues and relevant business examples, we encourage students to connect classroom learning with the changing world of business and the wider economy.
At Haydon, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment in which students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, think independently and develop the confidence to succeed. The successful candidate will share this vision and bring energy, creativity and high expectations to their teaching.
We offer a supportive and welcoming school community where professional development, staff wellbeing and collaborative working are valued. You will have the opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues, contribute to the continued development of the department and make a meaningful difference to students' academic progress and future aspirations.
