Haydon is a large, friendly and creative school in North West London, judged Good by Ofsted. We are seeking a passionate, committed and inspirational Pastoral Leader to join our dedicated and supportive Pastoral Team. Working collaboratively with students, families, teaching staff and the wider pastoral and safeguarding teams, you will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive and supportive environment where students feel valued, listened to and able to achieve their full potential. We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient professional who can build strong relationships, respond effectively to individual needs and contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.

The Role:

  • To take a lead with ensuring all students are able to work productively in their lesson.
  • To implement whole school policies.
  • To ensure student specific information is disseminated appropriately and take a lead with ensuring teachers act upon information given to them.
  • To be contactable by all stakeholders regarding any student related issues.
  • To proactively assign support to individual students thinking creatively to meet the needs of the student.
  • To have an up to date understanding of all the support mechanisms available at Haydon and lead on implementing them.
  • To be a visible presence in the school, particularly during lesson changeover and at social time to ensure good behaviour.
  • To maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
