We are seeking an experienced Senior Outcomes Research Manager to lead the development and delivery of high-quality real-world evidence (RWE) and epidemiological research across a diverse prescription medicines portfolio. The role focuses on generating impactful evidence to support market access, health technology assessments (HTA), and payer decision-making, while helping improve patient access to innovative therapies.
This position will play a key role in shaping evidence strategies, driving publication activities, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure robust outcomes research informs both commercial and healthcare stakeholder objectives.
- Lead the design and execution of outcomes research and real-world evidence studies supporting HTA submissions and payer engagement strategies across the UK and Ireland.
- Oversee study protocols, governance approvals, statistical analyses, and development of final reports and scientific publications.
- Partner with local and global cross-functional teams to ensure evidence generation aligns with business and healthcare priorities.
- Support the dissemination of disease- and therapy-related evidence through scientific and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights for internal teams involved in market access and patient access initiatives.
- Collaborate with external clinical and methodological experts to validate research approaches and outputs.
- Contribute to capability development across internal evidence-generation and epidemiology teams through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a subject matter expert within therapeutic area teams, embedding outcomes research insights into strategic and operational planning.
- Ensure all research activities are conducted in accordance with industry regulations, ethical standards, and internal compliance procedures.
Degree in epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, data science, health economics, or a related scientific discipline. Advanced qualification (MSc or PhD preferred) in Epidemiology or a related field. Strong expertise in outcomes research and real-world evidence generation to support value demonstration, market access, and reimbursement strategies. Proven experience designing and delivering epidemiological and outcomes research studies across the product lifecycle. Understanding of statistical approaches relevant to health economics is advantageous. Familiarity with CPRD or similar anonymised patient-level data sources is beneficial. Knowledge of SQL and/or R programming is desirable. Ability to review and validate analytical coding and technical outputs. Strong analytical thinking and scientific credibility. Commercial awareness with understanding of payer and healthcare system perspectives.
