Job Overview

Responsible for developing and managing the company's compliance framework for e-cigarette and medical device products across the UK and European market.

This role monitors evolving UK and European regulatory requirements, leads product certification activities, and ensures ongoing compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities, the Compliance Officer will mitigate regulatory risks, maintain compliance standards, and support the company's sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret European regulations and standards applicable to e-cigarette and medical device products, including but not limited to the MDR, TPD, etc.

Establish and continuously improve the company's product compliance management, certification procedures, and regulatory processes.

  • Lead certification projects for e-cigarette and medical device products intended for the UK and European market.

Coordinate with certification bodies, manage certification timelines, and ensure successful product approvals.

  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments across product development, manufacturing, and commercial operations.

Prepare risk assessment reports, recommend corrective actions, and drive remediation efforts to ensure ongoing compliance with European regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare regulatory documentation, certification submissions, and compliance reports.
  • Deliver compliance training to cross-functional teams and provide regulatory guidance to business functions on compliance-related matters.
  • Support inspections and audits conducted by European regulatory authorities by preparing and submitting regulatory documentation in English, while maintaining the company's reputation for regulatory compliance in overseas markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Law, Medical, Tobacco Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in regulatory compliance, with hands-on experience managing UK and European certification projects for e-cigarette or medical device products.
  • Fluent English, with the ability to independently communicate with global stakeholders and prepare regulatory reports, certification documentation, and compliance submissions.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European regulatory frameworks governing medical devices and/or tobacco-related products, with proven capability in regulatory risk identification, compliance assessment, and problem-solving.
  • Legal qualification or recognized certifications in medical device regulatory compliance would be a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work full-time in the UK without visa sponsorship.
