The Role:
- Lead and deliver external audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Prepare and review statutory accounts in line with UK accounting standards
- Manage day-to-day client communication and build strong relationships
- Supervise, mentor, and review work completed by junior staff
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and added-value advisory work
- Ensure compliance with UK auditing standards and regulatory requirements
About You:
Skills & Experience Required
- ACCA or ACA qualified (essential)
- Minimum 3+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience, with a strong focus on external audit
- Proven experience of managing audits for a range of clients
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines effectively
- Experience using audit and accounting software (e.g. CCH, CaseWare, Xero, Sage) is advantageous
