The Role
As an Accountant you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse client base. You’ll be hands-on with accounts preparation, tax compliance, and client management while also supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate and timely accounts and financial statements
- Managing income tax and corporation tax compliance
- Working across multiple accounting platforms including Iris, Sage, Xero, and FreeAgent
- Liaising with HMRC on tax and compliance matters
- Building strong relationships with clients and confidently handling queries
- Gathering and reviewing client information efficiently and accurately
- Mentoring and supporting junior staff with accounting-related queries
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years experience in accounts preparation (practice-based non-audit)
- Confidence using (or willingness to learn) a range of accounting software
- Strong Excel and general office skills
